These tests are calibrated for industrial applications like gear oil and hydraulic oil, not engine oil.
The Particle Count breaks down the number of particles present in a sample at various levels of microns.
Description
Add a TAN (total acid number) and PC (particle count, also known as the ISO Code) to your standard analysis to determine the total health of a system.
TANs and PCs are mostly done on industrial-type machines, where the manufacturer has published specific thresholds for allowable ratings.
The analysis will include the TAN reading and PC results, with a breakdown of the number of particles present at various sizes of microns. We can also report the NAS Class and SAE AS4059 Codes, if requested.
