Typically chrome and iron are from a ring/cylinder interface, but in this particular 2000 Expedition, a rocker arm went bad. It got so hot that it turned the steel around the roller bearing blue! The owner reports that when it went back, it started beating on the camshaft and scored a lobe, which led to iron reading 5x the average level at more than 100 ppm.
