Motorcycle Oil Reports

Motorcycle engines can lead a much different life than the average car or truck. They often see hard use during the summer, and when the weather gets cold, many of them are stored for the winter. Is the seasonal use too much for your engine? Is your air-cooled V-Twin running hot and causing the oil to oxidize and thicken up? 

Oil analysis can help you find out if anything is amiss. We want you to enjoy your ride for years to come.

This Kawasaki sample was heavily contaminated, by dirt, fuel, water, and possibly coolant. The contamination is probably causing poor wear in the cylinder area and at steel parts.
An oil report from a Ducati. The owner suspected he had a coolant contamination issue, and he was correct. We found coolant along with excessive wear from bronze parts.
An oil analysis report from a Yamaha motorcycle. The owner reported that the bike wasn't shifting well. We found high aluminum in his sample, which is probably related to the issues he noted.

We found water in this sample from a BMW Final drive. The water probably contributed to excess oxidation as well as poor wear, though wear is high enough that this unit could have a separate mechanical problem, as well.
