This Mustang Bullit was running great, according to the owner, when we called him to talk about this report. But with aluminum at 265 ppm, something is clearly not right. The owner checked compressions, which were good. Further diagnosis led him to pull the timing chain cover, where he found the chain had deeply worn into the guide on the passenger side. He replaced the chain and gaskets and avoided a serious engine problem.
